There's been a trend at the moment in the CTC discord of people making new puzzle genres. I've tried doing so before but never felt all that happy with what I could come up with, but this ruleset is the first that I think has potential for creative and fun puzzles, so here's a bunch of them! Difficulty for these is a bit of a range, 4/10 only being the average
Shade some cells so that no two shaded cells are orthogonally adjacent and divide the remaining unshaded cells into two-cell regions. Clues cannot be shaded. A clue in a horizontal region indicates the number of shaded cells in the same row as the clue; A clue in a vertical region indicates the number of shaded cells in the same column as the clue
