Here is a really fun new genre developed by Walker, a very minimal dynasty ruleset that still has plenty of cool deductions in it! Shade some cells so that no two shaded cells are orthogonally adjacent and the remaining unshaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. No 2x2 area may be entirely unshaded.
